What are the Design Awards?

An opportunity for designers to gain well earned recognition for the quality of their work with hard space interior design for residential projects.

The Design Awards was created to recognise excellence in design for the interiors of residential projects in the UK, with a specific focus on the kitchen and bathroom

The Design Awards 2009 will expand the scheme to recognise excellence in design for interiors as a whole, with the focus remaining on the ‘hard space’ interior design project.

Who can enter the Design Awards:

The Design Awards is open to any professional designer (or design team) who has worked on an interior design project.

Entries may be submitted for more than one category, but will only be put forward as finalists in a single category.

There is no charge for entering the Design Awards, which are funded by our Supporter Member brands, but entries must be completed in full to be eligible and good quality photography to support the entry is vital.

All categories are open to international entries, excluding the kitchen and bathroom categories, which have a specific International Designer Award.

All entries will be considered by the judging panel, and a final list of three entries per category will be invited to attend the Design Awards 2009 gala luncheon, to be held at Lords Cricket Ground on Tuesday 6 October 2009.
Winning entries will be featured as case studies in Designer magazine.
